ArcelorMittal Cleveland, recognized as one of the most productive integrated steelmaking facilities in the world, produces one ton of steel for slightly more than one worker hour. Part of the world's leading steel and mining company, ArcelorMittal's Cleveland facility is the company's third largest in the United States.

Employing approximately 1,900 employees (more than 1,500 represented by United Steelworkers Local 979), ArcelorMittal Cleveland is strategically located on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio with good access to the Port of Cleveland and Great Lakes shipping, as well as excellent highway and railroad transport. The plant operates two blast furnaces which can feed two steelmaking facilities capable of producing 3.8 million tons of raw steel annually. It consists in large part of the former LTV and Republic Steel plants and has stood on this site since 1913 on the East Side (Corrigan McKinney Steel) and 1914 on the West Side (Otis Steel) of the river.

Advanced high strength steels produced at ArcelorMittal Cleveland are helping automakers achieve aggressive fuel-efficiency standards through lightweighting while maintaining vehicle safety.
